Warcraft III Black Menu Screen Fix (Win10)

I have recently downloaded Warcraft 3 onto my newly built Windows 10 PC. When I tried running it, I came across a black screen with the menu music in the background. The only way to exit the game from that state was to hard-reset my PC.

And since I couldn’t find any answers on how to fix this very specific problem, here’s a video explaining exactly what I did to get this amazing game working again.
